Mr. Marcelino Salazar
Mr. Marcelino Salazar, Jr. earned a B.S. in Entomology from UC Riverside. He has been a math tutor for 10 years and serves in his local congregation as a Sunday school teacher for children and adults. Having fully realized his calling to teach, Mr. Salazar earned a M.A. in Teaching from Biola University and was a substitute teacher for a year before teaching at Veritas Classical Academy where he teaches math and science for grades 7-10. He enjoys teaching at VCA because of the Christ-centered community that brings parents, students, teachers, and staff together for discipleship opportunities that promote learning. He loves to spend time with his wife and children playing board games/card games, consuming various types of food and drink, painting, and reading books.
“I enjoy teaching at VCA because of the Christ-centered community that we strive to build. There are several events throughout the year for teachers, staff, students, and parents to fellowship with each other, outside of the classroom environment, which can lead to greater trust in our relationships. Despite the challenges, this foundation allows for a better learning environment and discipleship opportunities.”
