Mrs. Kay Kim has taught at Veritas Classical Academy for seven years.  She graduated from Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science with a BS in Industrial Engineering, and then graduated from Biblical Theological Seminary (currently known as Missio Seminary) with a MA in Old Testament.  Mrs. Kim was involved in ministry as a children’s ministry director and youth/college ministry assistant for several years before starting to teach at Stone Ridge Christian High School in Merced, California in 2010 where she taught math for three years.  She is currently the Academic Affairs Director here at Veritas, and she also teaches secondary math and science classes.  She loves how classical education is all about teaching our children to become not only lifetime learners and thinkers but full human beings who can enjoy everything God has given us. She believes that classical education trains students to discover who God is and who we are in His image by seeing His truth, goodness, and beauty–by seeing Christ–in every aspect of life.  She and her husband, Isaac, have 3 children and 2 of them have graduated from Veritas.  She also loves spending time with her family watching good movies together.  Her favorite Bible verse comes from Matthew 6:33 : “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

“After the knowledge of, and obedience to, the will of God, the next aim must be to know something of His attributes of wisdom, power, and goodness as evidenced by His handiwork… It is evident that an acquaintance with natural laws means no less than an acquaintance with the mind of God therein expressed.” – James Prescott Joules
